Thought I'd bring July to a close on a high note. As I've said before I love these YouTube videos from 1960's Hollywood. No help this time, how many celeb's can you spot? Next month is a dark one with some death looming ahead: Marilyn, Elvis, Groucho. August is such an ugly month. So for now enjoy these carefree images. Oh, if we could all be forever young. Me, the movie catholic

Films are my religion, and I worship at the local movie house. I've been obsessed with movies—especially the classics, their actors and creators--since about the age of 14. I used to attend movie theaters on a weekly basis. That was a long time ago, but I still love to go out to see films, new or classic. If there’s one thing that gets under my skin, it's people who say, “This is a movie you have to see in a theater" (any big, sweeping spectacle); or “You don't have to see that; let's wait for the video. It's not a big screen movie" (small dramas or comedies). To me, ALL films are meant to be seen on a big screen, in the dark, uninterrupted, surrounded by strangers who are there for the same thrilling experience I am. So this blog is about my love affair with the movies. I don't go to the movies as often now, because fewer movies that play on the big screen intrigue me as much as they did when I was at my moviegoing peak from 1975 to 1984. Please read this blog, and respond if you like. I love to hear from fellow cinephiles and fans who enjoy the moviegoing experience. I hope you enjoy reading this blog. I'm sure minutes will fly by like hours.
